Good Health Magazine - November 2009 Issue
One of my favourite magazines is the Good Health magazine and it would have to be a rare occurrence for me to miss a month. Although it has a bright and inviting appearance that other popular glossy mags
have, it is full of relevant and interesting information and you actually feel like you've gained something after reading it (unlike many other celebrity filled magazines).
As it would take forever to review the entire magazine as there's so many good articles, I thought I would note my favourite sections.

1. "Become an optimist!"
A refreshing article demonstrating the benefits of positive thinking both for physical, emotional and mental health. Also gives some great tips on how to achieve optimism in even "trying" situations.
2. "Flatter-your-shape swimsuits"
A delightful selection of swimmers for all shapes and sizes. I could have picked a favourite pair from each section! All are reasonably priced and available at most swimwear stores. What a perfect time to be looking for a new swimsuit!
3. "Foods that heal"
Never underestimate the impact that the food you eat has on your body and health. This article looks at issues such as acne, anxiety, PMS, depression, warts... and discusses what kinds of foods and their specific vitamins are useful in treating them.
4. "Fast food doesn't have to be junk food"
On the topic of food, this next article is just as relevant as it outlines some of the most popular fast food outlets and lists the popular choices at each as well as the more healthy choice with specific nutritional information for each. It's very handy to know which items are more healthy and some of the differences are quite surprising! For example, dining at Pizza Hut, one slice of BBQ Meatlovers with stuffed crust at 1035kJ and 11.1g of fat is practically double one slice of Vegie Supreme thin-n-crispy measuring up at 581kJ and 4.6g fat. With that much of a difference, if you are trying to watch what you eat, then these helpful suggestions would come in very handy.
Now, I could really go on about all of the articles, but then that wouldn't leave anything for you to find out for yourselves! As per usual, Good Health (November issue) was a great read and I'm still flicking through and re-reading various articles. Great to pass onto friends and family members too!
